How it is calculated

Each unit is defined via the base unit (meter (m)). The value is first converted to the base unit, then to the selected unit.

1 hm = 100 m

1 mm = 0.001 m

1 hm × 100 = 100 m

100 m ÷ 0.001 = 100000 mm
